Time Travel and Space

Some time ago I wrote this:

"El lugar que yo extraño está lejos,
pero no es un lugar físico,
no es un pedazo de tierra.
Es un lugar en el tiempo.
Sin embargo ahí está y lo extraño,
su recuerdo me trae a la boca una sonrisa,
al corazón alegría y a mi cuerpo tibieza.
Es una noche de verano.
Una de tantas noches que se fueron sin pensar.
Sin reparar siquiera que quizá,
algún día en el tiempo
podría yo añorar."

For those of you who don’t understand Spanish let me tell you what is it about. –It’s an analogy about how time can also mean distance. Time!, how an elusive concept; some say it doesn’t really exists, others argue that is not the same for everybody, that is relative.

Everybody knows is relative!, it doesn’t last enough when you're having fun yet it can take forever when you sit desperately by the phone waiting for it to ring with that special call.

Yet we all seem to be bounded by it and though we can travel every other dimension at will, it looks like time is a one way road leading us unavoidably away from what a moment ago was present time, and without thinking about it suddenly a day has passed, perhaps a year or even a lifetime.

By now you should be thinking of time traveling and all that, but would you really want go through all those math, history and physics exams again? An ‘edited’ time travel seems more in order. Kind of taping your favorite shows and fast forwarding the commercials and boring parts (does anybody tapes shows anymore, and if so do they really watch those tapes ever).

Well it’s time for me to go, but wait what does all that meant?

Carpe diem! Seize the day! For god sake wake up!!!!!

Seize the day does not mean that you try with all your might to do something new, just the opposite it means that you stop trying with all your life energy to hold on to what you have. Get it? To embrace that new love you have to first let go that other one... Is great to have a dream, now wake up and start living it!
